Hi there! My name is Trenda Stennett and I am a California licensed and credentialed bilingual teacher, on the Central Coast of California. As a life-long local, I attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and received my bilingual teacher credential (BCLAD) with an authorization to teach English Language Learners. Cal Poly’s “learn by doing” motto has shaped my teaching approach and I carry that into every lesson creating engaging, interactive learning experiences that are meaningful and memorable to every student.

I love history-but suprisingly I didn’t as a child! In fact, it wasn’t until a college professor brought it to life that I truly connected with it. That experience shaped the teacher that I am today. I strive to give my students the same spark — making learning an adventure and inspiring a lifelong love of learning.

I am an optimistic, fun and happy person. I love nature, exploring, playing games and learning new things. My goal is to not only develop, but also to nurture curiosity. I strive to create a positive, encouraging environment where children feel safe, confident and excited to learn. I am their tour guide as they become modern-day explorers. Let’s fasten our seatbelts and get ready for an adventure!
